Chief Minister of Kerala, India, receives the Cuban Ambassador.

New Delhi, April 16, 2017. Mr. Pinarayi Vijayan, Chief Minister of the State of Kerala, welcomed the Cuban ambassador to India, Oscar Martínez Cordovés, in view of the historical ties that have existed between our country and that state which is actually led by a Left government.

The meeting,that took place in a fraternal atmosphere, was conducive to examining issues on the bilateral agenda regarding the potential for the development of economic ties and the cooperation in general.

The legacy of Fidel Castro continues in India

New Delhi, 15th April 2017. Several social, and educational organizations and trade union in India highlighted the work and legacy of the leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, while condemning the blockade of the United States against the island in the framework of a visit to India by the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the People’s (ICAP) led by the prominent journalist and writer Marta Rojas, and the presence of Yexenia Calzado, an ICAP official.

The Parliament of Cuba strengthening links with India and Bangladesh.

New Delhi, March 30 2017. A delegation of the National Assembly of the People's Power of Cuba (ANPP, Parliament) visited India from 26 to 29 March to exchange experiences and reinforce working links with Indian Parliament.

The chairwoman of the ANPP's International Relations Commission, Yolanda Ferrer, told Prensa Latina the visit was aimed at increasing bilateral links. The Cuban delegation was also integrated by deputies Lázaro Barredo and Surina Acosta, accompanied by Jesus Rafael Mora, official of the Commission of International Relations of the ANPP.

It has a grand movie theatre, heritage boat ride and a light sound show with in the temple The shrine is dedicated to Swami Nayarayanan of the Hindu sect Swami Narayanan. This majestic temple was built from 2000 to 2005, without the use of steel, since its entire structure is based on centuries-old traditional methods of construction.

The Chairman of Committee on External Affairs of the Parliament of India, Dr. Shashi Tharoor and Ambassador Oscar Martínez Cordoves held a cordial meeting where they exchanged on interparliamentary relations and the possibility of strengthening ties, in the framework of the forthcoming visit to India of a delegation of the National Assembly of People's Power (ANPP) of the Republic of Cuba chaired by Ms. María Yolanda Ferrer Gomez, President of the Commission on International Relations of the National Assembly. Deputy Minister of Health of India receives the Cuban Ambassador.

New Delhi, February 21, 2017. The Deputy Minister of Health and Family Welfare of the Government of India, (Additional Secretary) Mr. Sanjeeva Kumar, received in the afternoon of this Tuesday the Cuban Ambassador Mr. Oscar Martínez Cordoves at the headquarters of his ministry.

In the cordial atmosphere, which characterizes the relations between both countries, the leaders exchanged on bilateral cooperation in the field of health and other issues of mutual interest. (Cubaminrex / Embacuba India).
