Cuban Ambassador receives political analyst Geoffrey Miller.

Wellington, March 31. New Zealand political analyst Geoffrey Miller visited the Embassy for an exchange with Ambassador Edgardo Valdés on international politics, Cuba-New Zealand relations and other topics of interest.

Miller is a renowned geopolitical analyst, and a member of the Democracy Project, with a fresh approach to various issues on the current world stage.

He invited the Ambassador to give a lecture on Cuba at the University of Otago.

Wellington, November 2. Ambassador Edgardo Valdés received members of the New Zealand Institute of International Affairs (NZIIA) to exchange about Cuba, its foreign policy, and business and investment opportunities on the island.

The President of NZIIA Wellington, Karim Dickie, gave the opening remarks, after which the Ambassador made a brief presentation and answered questions on the most diverse topics.

The exchange lasted more than 2 hours and contributed to a better understanding of cuban reality.

 

Promoting academic exchange between Cuba and New Zealand.

Wellington, March 11. Ambassador Edgardo Valdés received Karim Dickie, Executive Director of the Caribbean Council and President of the Wellington chapter of the New Zealand Institute of International Affairs (NZIIA).

Both exchanged on the international situation and Cuban foreign policy and agreed to hold a joint event on these issues soon.

Contacts were also established to promote academic exchange between these institutions and the Cuban Center for International Policy Research.
