Galway, June, 2019. The NGO Equal Ireland with a tradition in the promotion of cooperation actions between Ireland and Cuba has been coordinator of a commitment that brings together the will of institutions and organizations of different nationalities to jointly promote projects of cooperation in the benefits of the peoples and the City Council of Galway was the chosen scenario to sign an Agreement of intentions between the mentioned actors.

Galway, june, 2019. Promoted by the NGO Equal Ireland, the Cuban Ambassador to Ireland, Hugo René Ramos Milanés and Consul Soraya Torres Jaime, made a working visit to the city of Galway, located on the Atlantic coast.

Cuban diplomats were received at the City Council by Neil McNelis, Mayor of Galway, several Councilors and executive officers.

Sligo, May, 2019. The city of Sligo was the site of the Irish national commemoration of the victims of the great famine that struck Ireland between 1845 and 1850.

The great famine not only caused nearly one million victims, but another million people had to emigrate looking for new opportunities to the most varied latitudes.

Today several tens of millions of people in the world recognize their Irish origin.
