From Zimbabwe a tribute to Martí and a Commitment to the Homeland

Harare, January 28, 2026 – A moving tribute to José Martí and a reaffirmation of commitment to the homeland marked today's celebration in Zimbabwe of the 173rd anniversary of the birth of Cuba's National Hero.

His Versos Sencillos, white flowers, and the enduring relevance of his independence ideals in the face of imperialist and aggressive forces brought together dozens of dignitaries, supporters, and Cubans at the Caribbean nation's diplomatic mission in Harare, led by Ambassador Susellys Pérez Mesa.

Without shaking off the dust of the road

This October 10th, without shaking off the dust of the road, members of the staff of the Embassy of Cuba in Canada visited the Latin America Park in Quebec City, where the only bust of José Martí in the vast Canadian geography is located, alongside that of other heroes of the independence of our America, such as the Liberator Simón Bolívar.

Trinidadians and Cubans pay tribute to José Martí

Port of Spain, January 28th – The Alma Jordan Library of the University of the West Indies (UWI) of Trinidad and Tobago, served as host of a small but moving event in tribute to Jose Marti on the occasion of the 166th anniversary of his birth.

The event in tribute to the Master, was done in collaboration between the Library and the Cuban Embassy which was headed by Mr. Frank Soodeen, Head Librarian of the Alma Jordan Library and the Ambassador-designate, Tania Diego Olite. Also, present was, the staff of the Cuban Embassy, members of the solidarity and social movements with Cuba, Trinidadian personalities and members of the Cuban community in the Caribbean country. All united by the common feeling of honoring the most universal of Cubans, his work and prodigal thought.

Cuba y Luxemburgo: por una relación más fuerte

Los lazos entre Cuba y Luxemburgo son históricos y positivos, coincidieron este lunes los cancilleres de ambos países, Bruno Rodríguez y Jean Asselborn, respectivamente.

Durante un encuentro sostenido en la sede del Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores cubano, Rodríguez afirmó que las relaciones entre esas dos pequeñas naciones son un ejemplo de amistad, respeto y gran potencial.

Commemorated in India the 163 Anniversary of the birth of the Cuban National Hero José Martí.

India, January 28, 2016. This afternoon took place at the Embassy of Cuba to this country, a heartfelt ceremony of tribute to the National Hero of Cuba in the 163 anniversary of his birth.

The Cuban Ambassador designated Oscar Martinez Cordovés and three young Cuban pioneers spoke a few words in which was stressed the significance of the thought of José Martí, its universal scope, as well as its successful revolutionary and literary work.
