Cuba Solidarity Campaign director was awarded with the Order of Solidarity.

London, May 2, 2022 -Cuba recognized today the solidarity work of British activist Rob Miller, for his support of the Cuban Revolution and the denunciation and condemnation of the U.S. blockade.

At the closing of the International Meeting of Solidarity, which takes place in this capital, the Cuban president, Miguel Díaz-Canel, imposed on Miller the Order of Solidarity, granted by the Council of State of the Republic at the proposal of the Central of Workers of Cuba.

The president of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples, Fernando González, pointed out that this decoration is a fair recognition of an exemplary life, dedicated to the defense of the Caribbean island at the head of the Campaign of Solidarity with Cuba in the United Kingdom.

In his words of thanks, Miller recalled that he has been visiting the island since 1978 and since then he has felt inspired by this people, the Cuban Revolution and the internationalism that he practices without selfishness.

The British activist said he was proud to work with Cubans and in the United Kingdom and ratified his commitment to continue his work for solidarity.

Cuba Solidarity Campaign (CSC) in the United Kingdom is a solid organization that celebrated its 40th anniversary on April 17.

Cuban Embassy staff extends its most sincere congratulations to Rob Miller for this well deserved award, and take the opportunity to ratify its gratitude to all the members of the CSC for their support in the fight to end the blockade.
