Victoria, 18 June._The Cuban Ambassador in Seychelles participated on Saturday in the annual flag-raising ceremony held every June 18 at the "Lavwa Lanasyon" monument in Mahé, the main island of the African archipelago to commemorate the Constitution Day, adopted by referendum in 1993.

The ceremony was presided over by the President of Seychelles, Wavel Ramkalawan, and was attended by senior government officials, representatives of the judiciary and the National Assembly, as well as the diplomatic corps accredited to Victoria.

For the first time in the tradition of this commemoration, flag-raising ceremonies were held on the other two largest islands of the African archipelago, Praslin and La Digue.
