The Revolutionary Government condemns in the strongest terms the despicable accusation by the United States Department of Justice announced on May 20 and proclaimed for several weeks against Army General Raúl Castro Ruz, leader of the Cuban Revolution.

Helping Hands Send Hope to Cuba: A bridge of solidarity, aid, and hope for the Cuban people

Port of Spain, May 20, 2026. Representatives of thirteen political and social organizations from Trinidad and Tobago today delivered a donation to the Embassy of the Republic of Cuba, as part of the Solidarity Campaign with the Cuban people launched on March 1.

On behalf of the participating organizations, political leader David Abdulah of the Social Justice Movement (MSJ) provided details about the supplies collected by the Solidarity Movement in Trinidad and Tobago and the Cuba Solidarity Group in the Commonwealth of Dominica.

Statement by Solidarity Organizations in Trinidad and Tobago Regarding the Donation to Cuba

Port of Spain, May 20th, 2026. Political and social organizations from Trinidad and Tobago, together with the Dominica Solidarity Group with Cuba, presented a donation to the Cuban people at a press conference.

Message of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba

For the first time the US government publicly formalizes, through a communiqué from the Department of State, an offer of aid to Cuba valued at 100 million dollars.

It remains unclear whether the aid will be in cash or material, and whether it will be directed toward the people’s most urgent needs at this time, such as fuel, food, and medicine.
