The Cuban Ambassador to the State of Qatar, Mr. Oscar León González, and other members of the Cuban Embassy visited the Mosab Bin Omair Secondary School in response to the kind invitation of its Principal, Mr. Dukhail Salem Al-Nabet.
A large group of students interacted enthusiastically with the visitors about university studies in Cuba and other topics of interest related to the Caribbean nation.
Mr. Dukhail Salem Al-Nabet praised Cuban medicine and the advances experienced by Cuba in science and innovation. The excellent cooperation in the health sector between the two friendly countries was also highlighted during the meeting.
Cuban and Qatari education authorities have renewed their interaction to strengthen bilateral cooperation. For instance, they held an online meeting last November, and ScD. María Navarro Quintero, Director General of the Cuban Central Institute of Pedagogical Sciences, participated in the Virtual Forum on Education 2021, organized by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education of the State of Qatar.
