CUBA AMBASSADOR MEETS MIKE BROWNE, FORMER CANCILLER OF SAN VINCENT AND THE GRENADINES

Cuban Ambassador to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Vilma Reyes Valdespino, met  Mr. Mike Browne former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Saint Vincent and the grenadines Vincentian and active member of the Solidarity Movement with Cuba and President of the St. Vincent and the Grenadines / Venezuela Friendship Association.

During the cordial meeting, the parties addressed the upcoming celebration of the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

Michael Browne considered Cuba's valuable and permanent cooperation over the years and the concern of the Greater Antilles to adapt this assistance to the new needs and circumstances of St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

The former Chancellor reiterated his rejection of the US blockade against Cuba and its support for the battle of our country for the return of the territory illegally occupied by the Guantánamo Naval Base.

He also expressed his willingness to continue disseminating among the generations of Vincentians information on the US blockade against Cuba, on the achievements of the Cuban Revolution, despite the restrictions imposed by that criminal policy, as well as on the heroic resistance of the Cuban people, determined to pay the price of freedom, independence and sovereignty.

The parties coordinated activities of solidarity and mutual knowledge to be carried out, both in the Embassy and in the Vincentian communities.
