Perth, August 14, 2023. The tour of the young Cubans Marianniz Díaz, scientist of the Center for Molecular Immunology, and Iván Barreto, specialist of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the peoples culminated in the city of Perth, one of the most western of the Australian geography.
During their visit to the city, the young people were able to exchange with members of the Parliament of Western Australia, trade unions, and different organizations of the Australian society, including members of the Australian Communist Party.
They also held a public event with the participation of supporters of the Cuban Revolution and members of the Cuba Solidarity Association (Perth branch) in which they were able to exchange about the Cuban reality and the challenges faced by Cuba due to the intensification of the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States of America.
The visit to the Solidarity Park, where they could observe the monument made by the Australian friends to the struggle for the liberation of the Five Heroes, was also emotional.
