Cuban Ambassador participates in commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of the Coup d'état at the Parliament House in Sydney

Sydney, 12 September 2023. The 50th Anniversary of the coup d'état against President Salvador Allende in 1953 was commemorated at the New South Wales Parliament House.

The Cuban Ambassador to Australia was one of the speakers at the emotional event. In her remarks she highlighted the close friendship that existed between the leader of the Cuban Revolution, Comandante Fidel Castro and President Salvador Allende, as well as the ties that unite the Cuban and Chilean peoples.

The event was attended by the Chilean community living in that city and several members of the parliament of that state of Australia.
