Melbourne commemorates the 7th Anniversary of the physical disappearance of the Commander-in-Chief. 

Melbourne, 25 November 2023. The Cuban Ambassador to the Commonwealth of Australia chaired a public event hosted by the Australian Cuba Friendship Society in Melbourne in conjunction with the Cuban Embassy in commemoration of the 7th Anniversary of the physical disappearance of the Commander-in-Chief of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz. 

The occasion was an opportunity to exchange on the legacy of the Commander in Chief, as well as to reject the unjust and criminal Blockade imposed by the United States Government against Cuba. It was an emotional event, which culminated in an exchange on the impact of the genocidal blockade, in particular on the right to development of the Cuban people and emblematic songs by Carlos Puebla.
