Belmopan, January 17, 2024.- In an activity held at the Cuban Embassy in Belize, Belizean doctors who graduated in our country received scholarships in different health specialties from Ambassador María Caridad Balaguer Labrada.
The scholarships granted correspond to the specialties of Gynecology and obstetrics, Nephrology and Pediatrics, which are of great importance for the Belizean public health system.
During the meeting with the doctors, the ambassador updated about the situation of our country, the characteristics of the scholarship and the importance of taking advantage of this opportunity to continue raising their professional and technical level and reiterated that, despite the complex economic situation in the island, aggravated by the strengthening of the blockade measures imposed by United States, Cuba honor its commitment to the training of human resources of our sister countries.
These scholarships are awarded within the framework of the Cuba-CARICOM agreement. (Embassy of Cuba in Belize).
