Pretoria, November 19, 2024.- The Cuban Charge d' Affaires to South Africa, Bryan Betancourt Brito, was received by the Director for Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean of the South African Department of International Relations and Cooperation-DIRCO, Mr. Bingo Thamaga, for a regular review of the main issues of bilateral interest.
During the cordial meeting, the excellent level of political relations was noted, as well as the need to continue expanding and diversifying cooperation in economic and trade matters. Both sides highlighted the quality of bilateral relations and guaranteed the will to continue working to strengthen them.
The South African executive congratulated Cuba on its victory at the United Nations General Assembly, which once again demonstrated the support of the international community for Cuba and its people in their struggle against the U.S. blockade and unjust unilateral sanctions.
