Cuban Embassy in Saint Vincent participates in book launch on the history of the Caribbean.

Kingstown, December 19 2024. The Cuban Embassy in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines was present at the launch of the book "The Story of Paulene Bramble", by the prominent Vincentian lawyer, writer and diplomat Dr. Richard Byron-Cox.

The book, is a journey that tells an intimate story of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines from 1800 to 1939 and recreates much of the economy, society, religion, family life and much more, through the lives of its characters, crystallized in its main protagonist, Paulene Bramble.

The Cuban ambassador, Carlos Ernesto Rodríguez Etcheverry, made an intervention in which he read comments on the book by the Cuban historian, writer and diplomat, Oscar Oramas Oliva, who unfortunately could not physically attend the presentation.

The event was attended by SVG Governor General, Her Excellency Dame Susan Dougan and Prime Minister Dr. the Honourable Ralph E. Gonsalves, who also made interventions (Cuban Embassy to SVG/Cubaminrex).
