Belmopan, December 31, 2024.- Committed to the Homeland and the fulfillment of internationalist duty, the members of the Cuban state mission in Belize present in the different regions of this sister Central American nation celebrated the 66th anniversary of the triumph of the Cuban Revolution.
Poems, audiovisuals and interventions with a deep patriotic feeling, highlighted the revolutionary victory of January 1, 1959 led by Commander in Chief Fidel Castro Ruz, whose legacy accompanies this immense work of transformation and social justice.
The commemoration served as a platform to demand the end of the genocidal and cruel economic blockade imposed by the United States government on our country and its exclusion from the list of countries that allegedly sponsor terrorism.
The central activity for this commemoration took place at the Cuban diplomatic legation in this capital, which was presided over by Ambassador María Caridad Balaguer Labrada.
During her speech, the diplomat summarized the work of the year 2024, characterized by the dedication and dedication of the members of the mission on each of its fronts, the support for our country's international campaigns and the high professional level in the provision of public health to the Belizean people.
The occasion was propitious to stimulate the most outstanding and bid farewell to the collaborators who will soon conclude their mission in this sister country.
Consul Gustavo Aguinaga Linares and the health collaborators of the medical brigades Juan Gualberto Gómez and Camilo Cienfuegos, located in the cities of Belmopan and San Ignacio respectively, were present at the activity.
