The Ambassador of Cuba to Mongolia, Jorge Ferrer, paid a courtesy call to the Minister of Health, Dr. Munkhsaikhan Togtmol, who was accompanied by Ms. Yanjmaa Binderiya, Head of the International Cooperation Division.
The debate covered a wide range of topics. The Mongolian Minister of Health and the Cuban Ambassador discussed the Memorandum of Cooperation between the Ministries of Health of the two countries and the exploration of advanced technologies in the Cuban medical and biopharmaceutical industry.
During this meeting, the Cuban Ambassador delivered a letter from the Minister of Public Health of Cuba, Dr. José Ángel Portal Miranda, addressed to the Minister of Health of Mongolia, who thanked him for the letter.
The Ambassador informed him about the upcoming V International Convention Cuba-Health 2025, the XVI International Fair "Health for All" and the II Fair of Medical Tourism and Well-being, to be held in Havana from April 21 to 25.
The Mongolian Minister reiterated his gratitude to Cuba for the granting of scholarships for the training of doctors and stomatologists and praised the high qualification of Cuban and Mongolian professionals graduated on the Island. Since 1963, Cuba has annually awarded scholarships in Cuban universities for Mongolian students, where around 150 professionals in different specialties have graduated.
Both parties reiterated their willingness to develop relations and cooperation in the field of health.
