Cuban Ambassador to Seychelles receives directors of the James R. Mancham Research Institute for Peace and Diplomacy

Victoria, 5th March._ Cuban Ambassador to Seychelles Martha Hernandez received at the diplomatic mission headquarters Diana Benoit and Ryan Adeline, director and senior researcher respectively of the James R. Mancham Institute for Peace Research and Diplomacy, a center under the University of Seychelles.

The meeting ratified the positions of Cuba and Seychelles on peacekeeping, state sovereignty, social justice, diplomacy and multilateralism as the only ways to solve conflicts.

They also discussed the potential for developing academic exchanges between similar institutions to promote study and research in these areas.

In this regard, both parties agreed to work to promote cooperation projects within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding on Academic Cooperation between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Cuba and Seychelles, signed in Havana in September 2024, during the official visit of Seychelles President Wavel Ramkalawan to Cuba.

The meeting was also attended by officials of the Department of Foreign Affairs of the African nation and the Cuban Minister Counselor.
