Kingstown, April 24, 2025- The president of the Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Football Federation, Mr. Otashie Spring, received Cuba’s ambassador to this country, Carlos Ernesto Rodríguez Etcheverry, where both sides addressed issues of common interest.
The Vincentian federative and the Cuban diplomat discussed the possibilities of promoting cooperation projects in this sport, in which both countries have significant potential in the CONCACAF area.
The parties recalled that the national teams of the two countries have played several official matches in the past and have held friendly matches both in Cuba and in Saint Vincent. They also expressed that they will work together to arrange between one and two friendly matches before the end of 2025.
The Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Football Federation was founded in 1979 and affiliated with FIFA and CONCACAF in 1988 (Embassy of Cuba to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines/Cubaminrex).
