Kingstown, 2 de junio de 2025 — In an atmosphere of cordiality and mutual respect, the Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Carlos Ernesto Rodríguez Etcheverry, held a fruitful meeting with Mr. Nathaniel Williams, President of the Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Teachers’ Union (SVGTU).
During the meeting, both parties discussed the historic ties of solidarity and cooperation between Cuba and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, with a special focus on the field of education. Ambassador Rodríguez Etcheverry reiterated the Cuban Government’s commitment to continue supporting the training of Vincentian professionals through its scholarship program, as well as through the presence of Cuban educational collaborators in the country.
Mr. Williams expressed his appreciation to the people and Government of Cuba for their valuable support in the educational development of the nation. He also highlighted the positive impact of Cuban educators in Vincentian communities and emphasized the bonds of friendship and solidarity that unite both peoples.
The meeting concluded with a shared willingness to strengthen the ties between the Cuban Embassy and the Teachers’ Union and to promote new joint initiatives for educational development and regional integration (Cuban Embassy to St. Vincent and the Grenadines/Cubaminrex).
