Cuba was present at the Diplomatic Fair for Africa Day

Kempton Park, 31 May 2025: To celebrate the 62nd anniversary of Africa Liberation Day, the Cuban Embassy in South Africa participated in the Fair organised by the African Diplomatic Corps, alongside the Nicaraguan and Venezuelan embassies. The stand shared by the three countries was characterised by folklore, history, music and Latin flavours.

The pavilion, which showcased the best culinary traditions, dances, crafts and beautiful landscapes of the nations, was the most popular at the event, with more than 300 people visiting.

The officials and staff of the mission were full of good humour, enthusiasm and knowledge about Cuba, its history, geography and its deep relationship with Africa, and were eager to share this with visitors.

Cuban residents and workers from the different cooperation brigades also attended the event.

It was the perfect day on which to bring the celebrations in honour of this important day to a close.
