Canberra, 2 August 2025 - The Australia-Cuba Friendship Society (Brisbane Branch) sent medical supplies to Cuba through member Jeanine de Almeida, who participated in the Brazilian Caravan of Solidarity in mid-July.
This shipment was made possible thanks to the support of the Queensland Nurses and Midwives' Union, which facilitated contact with Save Our Supplies, an organization that generously donated the materials sent.
The Embassy of Cuba expresses its deep appreciation to all parties involved for this generous act of solidarity, which reflects the commitment to the welfare of the Cuban people.
The action of the Australia-Cuba Friendship Society is an inspiring example of cooperation and support to put an end to the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States against Cuba, a measure that hinders development and access to essential resources for our nation.
