Cuba present at the Liberation Movements Summit

Johannesburg, 26 July 2025. Cuba's Chargé d'Affaires a.i. in South Africa, Ambassador Esther Armenteros Cárdenas, participated on behalf of Cuba in the Liberation Movements Summit, held this weekend in Kempton Park, Johannesburg.

The ambassador's speech contained a message of solidarity with the just causes of peoples around the world, especially the Palestinian people.

The final declaration of this meeting included a condemnation of the US blockade against Cuba, as well as a call for the island's removal from the list of countries allegedly sponsoring terrorism.
