Johannesburg, October 23, 2025.- Li Liu Jiménez Chang and Lauren Luis Acosta, officials from the Cuban Embassy in South Africa, delivered a lecture about Cuba at the University of Witwatersrand. There, they exchanged views with Spanish students on characteristic elements of Cuban culture and identity.
This activity is part of the celebrations organized by the embassy to commemorate National Culture Day.
The presentation covered fundamental aspects of our history and culture, as well as the achievements of the Revolution in the fields of health, education, culture, and sports. In an gratifying exchange with the students, they learned about Cuba's main cities, its music, cuisine, and traditional clothing, as well as our most deeply rooted traditions.
There was also time to discuss the current situation in Cuba and the impact of the U.S. blockade as the main obstacle to the development of the Cuban people.
