Cuban Ambassador to Australia participates in the Mexican flag-raising ceremony at the Mexican Embassy in Canberra

Canberra, 17 December 2025. The Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to Australia, Gilma Moreira Lino, participated today in the raising ceremony of the Mexican national flag on the new flagpole installed in the gardens of the Mexican Embassy in Canberra.

The event, organized by the Mexican Embassy, marked the inauguration of this new symbolic structure.

The ceremony was attended by members of the diplomatic corps accredited in Canberra and representatives of the Australian government.

The Cuban Embassy in Australia reiterates its willingness to continue strengthening ties of friendship and cooperation with brotherly diplomatic missions in this country, for the benefit of Latin America and the Caribbean common interests.
