Information from the Revolutionary Government on the posthumous tribute to Cuban combatants who died in the line of duty in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela

Starting at 10:00 a.m. on January 15, the public will be allowed access to the headquarters of the Ministry of the Revolutionary Armed Forces, where the mortal remains of our combatants will be on display.

This Thursday, January 15, 2026, the mortal remains of the 32 combatants who heroically fell during the criminal attack perpetrated by the United States government against the sister Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela will arrive in the Homeland. 

At a military ceremony at Havana's José Martí International Airport, they will receive the first posthumous tribute. Afterward, their remains will be transported along Rancho Boyeros Avenue to the headquarters of the Ministry of the Revolutionary Armed Forces. During this procession, a group of people, gathered on both sides of the avenue, will pay their respects to the fallen. 

Starting at 10:00 a.m. on January 15, the public will be allowed access to the headquarters of the Ministry of the Revolutionary Armed Forces, where the mortal remains of our combatants will be on display. 

On Friday, January 16, at 7:30 a.m., Havana residents will gather at the José Martí Anti-Imperialist Tribune to hold the event that will kick off the March of the Fighting People, as a reaffirmation of their commitment to the Homeland. 

At 9:00 a.m. on Friday, memorial ceremonies will be held in all provincial capitals. At 4:00 p.m., they will be laid to rest in the pantheons of those who died defending their respective towns. All municipalities throughout the country will hold posthumous tributes.
