Cuban ambassador in Nicosia receives courtesy visit from Pastor Aristotelis Tsinoglou, national representative of the Evangelical Church of Greece in Cyprus and President of the NGO 'Agape.'

Nicosia, Cyprus. January 22, 2026. The Cuban Ambassador to Cyprus, Rubén Pino Martínez, received a courtesy visit this Thursday from Pastor Aristotelis Tsinoglou, national representative of the Evangelical Church of Greece in Cyprus and president of the NGO 'Agape' (Love).

During the meeting, the highest representative of the Cypriot Evangelical Church conveyed to the Cuban diplomat the expressions of welcome and respect from his institution towards the new ambassador of the island as a customary practice of consideration and a wish for success in his role before the Cypriot government.

The Cuban ambassador expressed his gratitude for the visit and best wishes, while also welcoming —on behalf of his people and the government he represents— their hopes for peace, tranquility, and prosperity toward the largest of the Antilles, amid the difficult conditions currently facing his nation, a victim of the criminal blockade that the government of the United States has imposed on Cuba for over sixty years.

The president of the NGO 'Agape' (Love), Aristotelis Tsinoglou, has been a close collaborator of the Cuban diplomatic mission in previous periods, during which he contributed to philanthropic activities to raise funds, medicines, and food transported in containers to hospital institutions on the island, together with organizations in solidarity with Cuba.
