Invited by the ambassador of the Republic of Serbia to Cyprus, Her Excellency Ms. Suzana Boskovic-Prodanovic, the Cuban ambassador to this capital, Rubén Pino Martínez, participated this Wednesday in the official reception offered by that Balkan nation on the occasion of its National Day, commemorated on February 15.

Through his counterpart in Nicosia, the Cuban diplomat extended his congratulations to the Serbian government and people on their Independence Day while wishing them success in their work as ambassador to the eastern Mediterranean island.

Ms. Boskovic-Prodanovic gave a brief overview of the social, political, and economic progress her nation is currently experiencing, and in response, Pino Martínez thanked her for the invitation and congratulated the members of the Serbian diplomatic mission accredited in Nicosia.

On behalf of the host government, the ceremony was presided over by His Excellency Mr. Neophytos Charalambides, Minister of Health of Cyprus, who praised the positive relations between the two countries.
