Gathering held with young Cubans living in South Africa

Pretoria, 22 February 2026.- Young Cubans living in South Africa reaffirmed their love for their homeland and their rejection of the intensification of unilateral coercive measures against Cuba at a meeting held on Sunday.

The event included games of dominoes, a popular game on the island, as well as traditional music and dancing, in defence of the culture and roots that unite all Cubans.

With their messages of solidarity, the young people reaffirmed that Cuba is not alone and that the Cuban spirit that characterises us is never lost, even despite the geographical distance.
