Embassy of Cuba in the United States Joins the “My Signature for the Homeland” Initiative

The staff of the Cuban Embassy in the United States joined in signing the document “My Signature for the Homeland,” a grassroots initiative launched on April 19.

The action is part of a broad movement rejecting the economic, commercial, and financial embargo imposed by the United States government against the island, as well as the recent tightening of these measures.

During the event, the Deputy Chief of Mission, Tanieris Diéguez, read the document aloud and reaffirmed the Cuban people’s resolve and commitment to defending the Revolution. In her remarks, she also invoked the historic statement by Lieutenant General Antonio Maceo: “Whoever attempts to take possession of Cuba will gather the dust of its soil drenched in blood, if they do not perish in the struggle.”

Thousands of Cubans have supported this initiative across different regions since the signature collection process began on April 19, reaffirming that: “The socialist nature of our Revolution is not a phrase from the past—it is the shield of the present and the guarantee of the future!”
