The 44th International Tourism Fair of Cuba (FITCuba 2026) will be held from May 7 to 9 in a virtual format, a modality that marks a milestone in the event’s history, according to its organizers.
The meeting will bring together tourism professionals from around the world and will be dedicated to the resort of Varadero, the country’s leading sun-and-beach destination. Among the main highlights are virtual tours featuring live experiences from guests staying at hotels operated by chains such as Iberostar and Meliá.
According to the official program, the Ministry of Tourism’s delegate in Matanzas, Luis Martínez de Armas, will present Varadero’s potential, while Havana will be promoted for its heritage, historical, and cultural values.
Likewise, the travel agency Cubatur will offer an overview of Cuba as a destination for the 2026–2027 season. The fair will leverage digital technologies to facilitate international participation without the need for travel.
