Nicosia, Cyprus, May 9. – This Saturday, May 8, the Virtual Forum for Cubans Living Abroad, part of #FITCuba2026, was held, in which 97 Cubans living in 16 countries participated, an event that also involved Cubans residing on the Mediterranean island.
The Virtual Forum of #FITCuba2026 was presided over by Juan Carlos García Granda, Minister of Tourism of Cuba, and Ana Teresita González Fraga, Director General of Consular Affairs and Attention to Cubans Residing Abroad of our Ministry; a space designed to update and exchange ideas, proposals, and initiatives for the contribution of Cubans abroad to the development of tourism in Cuba.
Starting with a greeting to the Cubans residing in the 97 represented nations, Ana Teresita González Fraga encouraged, through her intervention, active and enriching participation, which made it possible to share proposals and initiatives related to Cuban tourism, from perspectives associated with local development, incorporating the experience and training of fellow citizens who today focus their attention on the sector, both outside and within the island, especially in their places of origin with projects of territorial scope.
