Cuba and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines celebrate the 34th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.

Kingstown, May 28, 2026. — Cuba and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines celebrated the 34th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two nations through a commemorative ceremony held at the Kingstown Financial Complex, in an atmosphere of fraternity, friendship, and solidarity.

As part of the activities organized to mark this important occasion, a Cuban flag-raising ceremony was held as a symbol of the historic bonds of brotherhood and cooperation that have united both countries since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1992.

The activity was attended by the Prime Minister of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Honorable Dr. Godwin Friday; the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade, Foreign Investment and Diaspora Affairs, Honorable Fitzgerald Bramble; and the Ambassador of Cuba to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Carlos Ernesto Rodríguez Echeverry.

During the ceremony, the authorities delivered remarks highlighting the historical significance of the occasion, as well as the strength of the bilateral relations, which are founded on mutual respect, cooperation, and solidarity.

They also reaffirmed the shared political will to continue promoting dialogue, expanding bilateral cooperation, and strengthening the traditional bonds of friendship between Cuba and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines for the benefit of both peoples.

The commemoration constituted another demonstration of the excellent state of relations between the two countries and of their mutual commitment to continue deepening cooperation ties in various areas of common interest (Embassy of Cuba in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines/Cubaminrex)
