New President of Mongolia received the Cuban Ambassador (+Video)

Ulaanbaatar. October 20, 2017. The Hon. Mr. Khaltmaagiin Battulga, newly elected President of Mongolia, received today the Ambassador of Cuba, Excmo. Sr. Raúl Delgado Concepción, who handed him a congratulatory letter from the President of the Councils of State and Ministers of the Republic of Cuba, Hon. Mr. Raul Castro Ruz, for his victory in the presidential elections that took place last July in Mongolia.

In an atmosphere of cordiality, the Cuban Ambassador thanked, on behalf of the government and the people of Cuba, the support of the Mongolian government for the battle Cuba is fighting against the criminal US blockade that for more than 50 years which impedes economic development and causes severe damages to the people. The Ambassador noted that, as always, Cuba hopes that Mongolia will once again support the Cuban resolution condemning this United States policy against Cuba, which will be voted again on November 1, 2017 at the current session of the General Assembly of the United Nations.

During the meeting was discussed the status of bilateral relations, highlighting those areas in which the Cuban diplomatic mission has been working with the Mongolian authorities and institutions. The registration of Cuban biotechnology products, the implementation of the memorandum of understanding for the implementation of the extensive use of Biorat in agriculture and livestock, the possibilities of hiring Cuban coaches among others were among the aspects addressed in the conversation.

The President of Mongolia Kh. Battulga, meanwhile, indicated his willingness to expand cooperation in the health area regarding the hiring of Cuban doctors and stomatologists. He also emphasized that the field of medicine in Cuba is highly recognized worldwide. (EmbaCuba Mongolia).
