Cuban Ambassador attends Vietnam National Day celebration
Islamabad, August 4, 2026. The Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba, Damián Cordero Torres, attended the commemoration of the 81st anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, held at the embassy of that sister nation in the Pakistani capital.
Ambassadors attended the celebration from the accredited diplomatic corps, particularly from Southeast Asia, as well as Pakistani government officials, with whom the Cuban diplomat had the opportunity to exchange views.
Cuban Ambassador meets with Presidential Spokesperson at the Embassy
Islamabad, September 1, 2026. Cuban Ambassador Damián Cordero received Mr. Murtaza Solangi, spokesperson for Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari and member of the presidential secretariat, at the embassy.
The Cuban Ambassador expressed his gratitude to the senior Pakistani official for the visit. Mr. Solangi noted that it was an honor to visit the embassy of the supportive Cuban people, who were the first to arrive and the last to leave during the 2005 earthquake in Pakistan.
