Pretoria, September 11, 2019.- The Third Secretary of the Cuban Embassy in South Africa, Dianelis Forestal Mejías, made a presentation on Cuba at the University of Pretoria.
The diplomat presented the main achievements of the Revolution in the social and economic sphere; the US blockade policy against Cuba and its dire consequences for the Cuban people; relevant elements about the culture and history of Cuba, the tourist options of the Island, among other topics of interest.
An overview of relations with South Africa was also offered, with emphasis on the historical ties that unite both peoples and the tangible results that have been obtained in terms of cooperation after 25 years of bilateral diplomatic relations, which were established on May 11, 1995.
The presentation was attended by first-year students from different careers and teachers of the center, who were interested in learning more about Cuban reality, recreational and cultural options for young people; as well as on the main tourist destinations of the Island.
