Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. March 31, 2020. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia D. Tsogtbaatar received the Ambassador of Cuba Raúl Delgado Concepción with whom he exchanged on the good state of diplomatic relations between the two countries, cooperation and other current international issues.
At the meeting, the Mongolian Chancellor informed the Cuban Ambassador about the measures adopted by the Government and Mongolian institutions for the containment and confrontation of Covid 19 in Mongolia. The Cuban Ambassador, on his side, praised the prompt measures taken by the Mongolian State Emergency Commission to safeguard the health of the people from the very beginning of the spread of the epidemic in China and the subsequent measures taken to decrease the transmission of the disease.
The Ambassador informed the Chancellor about the measures adopted by the Government and Health institutions in Cuba to confront this global pandemic and highlighted the work carried out by Cuban medical brigades in 14 countries, helping to mitigate and confront COVID-19. He also pointed out our willingness to share our experiences with Mongolian health institutions, as well as biotechnological products made in Cuba for the treatment of the disease.
In the year that marks the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two nations, the meeting reaffirmed that Cuba and Mongolia continue to support each other and expand ties of friendship and cooperation. (EmbaCuba Mongolia)
