The association Cubanos en UK rejects and strongly condemns the terrorist attack on the Cuban Embassy in the United States.
In the early hours of this Thursday 30 April 2020, an unknown individual shot at the Cuban Embassy premises with a firearm. Although the identity of the individual and his motivations are unknown, our association rejects any violent act against Cuban representatives abroad.
Since 1959, Cuba has reported more than 3,000 deaths and thousands of wounded, caused by terrorist attacks that have mostly been organized from the United States by groups of extreme right-wing Cubans, causing fatalities inside and outside Cuba.
It is the responsibility of the United States to ensure the security and safety of the diplomatic headquarters and the staff accredited in its country. We demand that the U.S. government acts and takes measures in response to such aggression against the integrity of our diplomatic mission in its country. Ignoring these events makes the United States administration, in the eyes of the world, an accomplice to terrorist acts.
