Cuba's Ambassador to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Vilma Reyes Valdespino, received at the headquarters of the mission, the former Vincentian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Michael Browne, Member of the Association of Saint Vincent -Cuba solidarity Group.
After address aspects relating to the excellent links between the two countries and peoples, Michael Browne thanked the solidarity of Cuba towards their Vincentian brothers and those of the Caribbean, despite the limitations and difficulties that the U.S blockade imposes on them.
Mr. Browne stressed that on arriving in Cuba you understand that the revolution has the human being at the Centre of its management and this has enabled huge advances in social, educational, economic, scientific, cultural and sporting in the largest island of the Antilles.
Referring to the obstinacy of the United States in maintaining the blockade, even though it acknowledges that it has proved useless, Michael Browne said that this shows that Cuba is the demonstration that a world better is possible and he also said that it is not a secret to anyone that by removing the blockade, Cuba, with its enormouspotential, could reach unexpected levels of development in a short time.
