Event on Cuba at the Ministry of Primary Industries.

Wellington, June 22. Ambassador Edgardo Valdés inaugurated a photo exhibition on Cuba at the headquarters of the Ministry of Primary Industries.

It was a sample of 40 photographs taken by New Zealand residents who have visited us as tourists, reflecting various aspects of life in Cuba.

At the event, organized in coordination with the ministry's Latin American Network, the ambassador spoke about the origins of the exhibition, the primary sector in Cuba and business and investment opportunities on the island.

Wellington, August 25. Ambassador Edgardo Valdés received at the Embassy Rachel Williams, managing director of the "Viva Expeditions" agency, based in Auckland, and Victoria Keating of X Travel in Queenstown.

Both have years of experience in promoting Cuba as a tourist destination and are making plans after the total opening of the New Zealand borders.

We will work together in that direction.

 

Cuban diplomats visit the city of Whanganui.

Whanganui, November 19. During a visit to this city, Ambassador Edgardo Valdés had a friendly meeting with Mayor H.W Hamish Mc Douall, with whom he exchanged on the situation in Cuba, the relationship with New Zealand and other topics of interest.

McDouall praised the Cuban film "Inocencia", shown here recently in the framework of the Latin America and Spain Film Festival.

Several ideas for cultural cooperation and the promotion of tourism to Cuba emerged from the meeting.
