Dr Al Hammadi Meets with Ambassador of Cuba to Qatar
His Excellency Dr Mohammad bin Abdul Wahid Al Hammadi, Minister of Education and Higher Education, today met with His Excellency Oscar León González, Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to the State of Qatar.
During the meeting, both sides discussed areas of cooperation between the two countries in the field of education and scientific research, as well as ways to enhance and develop it.

Cuban Foreign Minister will participate in the High-Level Segment of the Conference on Disarmament and in the High-Level Segment of the Human Rights Council
The Cuban Foreign Minister will participate virtually in the High-Level Segment of the Conference on Disarmament, which will take place this Monday, 22 February 2021 in Geneva, Switzerland.
Cuba’s participation in this event corresponds to its commitment to the international disarmament, non-proliferation and arms control regime.
New Ambassador of Cuba held a meeting with Director of American Affairs Department of MoFA, Qatar
The new Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to State of Qatar H.E. Oscar León González held a meeting with H.E. Ambassador Essa Mohamed Al-Mannai, Director of American Affairs Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The meeting confirmed the excellent friendly relations between Qatar and Cuba and the potentialities to develop their cooperation.

Meeting with Director of the Department of Engineering Affairs and General Services of the Chancellery of Qatar
H.E. Ambassador Ismail bin Ali Abdullah AlEmadi Director of Department of Engineering Affairs and General Services of MoFA, the State of Qatar, welcomed H.E. Mr Oscar León González, new Ambassador of the Republic de Cuba to the State of Qatar. The Cuban representative paid a courtesy visit to the senior Qatari official as part of his initial introductions.
Both parties highlighted the positive state of bilateral relations, agreed on the possibility of expanding them and reviewed other matters of mutual interest.
