Friends of Saint Lucia congratulate Cuba on the Triumph of the Revolution

The Humanistic Association of Solidarity (Saint Lucia-Cuba) issued a statement on the occasion of the 61st anniversary of the Triumph of the historic Cuban Revolution, in which they express their deepest solidarity, as well as unwavering faith and loyalty to the cause of the revolutionary people and the Government of Cuba, as they continue to firmly confront the economic and political aggression of the United States for six decades. The statement expresses the conviction that Cubans will not give in to imperialist and illegal pressures and actions and that they will continue to set an example for the rest of the world

Saint Lucia reaffirms its friendship with Cuba on the occasion of their National Day

The 61st anniversary of the Revolution was celebrated yesterday at the Residence of the Ambassador of Cuba in the sister island of Saint Lucia, with a reception attended by about one hundred and thirty people. Among the attendees was Governor General His Excellency Sir  Emmanuel Neville Cenac, who in his speech pointed out that Cuba was a true friend, whose faithfulness had been demonstrated throughout its life by Fidel Castro and by the current Cuban political leadership. The high level representative of the state of Saint Lucia said that on the occasion of the 61st anniversary of Cuba’s full independence, “he was invoking all the force in side of himself to call Cuba a friend”, on behalf of the people of Saint Lucia. He also expressed his gratitude for Cuba’s support in the training of professionals and for its assistance in the field of health. Therefore, he said, we are ready to extend a hand to Cuba in its hour of need, and on behalf of the Government and people of Saint Lucia, he wished “the Cuban president and his outstanding people health and prosperity”.

National Council Of  and For Persons with Disabilities in Saint Lucia strengthens relations with Cuba

The President of the National Council of and for Persons with Disabilities of Saint Lucia, Merphilus James, made a cordial visit to the Cuban Embassy, where he exchanged with the Head of the Diplomatic Office, Ambassador Alejandro Simancas Marin. In the framework of the meeting, they discussed the rights of persons with disabilities and the need to maintain the needs of society with regards to them. They also highlighted the useful work that this organization carries out in Saint Lucia and the possibilities for cooperation and exchange with the Cuban Association of Persons with Limited Physical and Motor Capabilities. They highlighted the values of friendship and solidarity that define the relationship between the peoples of Cuba and Saint Lucia, which are reflected in the vision with regards to Cuba by the National Council Of and For Persons with Disabilities.

Medical Brigade in Saint Lucia highlights the results of their work in 2019

 

The members of the Cuban Medical Brigade in Saint Lucia today, Saturday, January 25th, carried out their annual work balance for 2019. The Brigade Coordinator, Doctor José Luis Lopez, made an in depth, informative presentation, highlighting with data and information, the results of the work carried out by the health professionals in this period and showing their outstanding contribution to social and health development in the sister island of Saint Lucia.

Friends of Cuba in Saint Lucia celebrate the end of the year and 60’s anniversary of Cuba’s Revolutionary Diplomacy

The executive of the Humanistic Solidarity Association (Saint Lucia – Cuba), headed by its President Marlene Alexander, met yesterday at the residence of the Ambassador of Cuba to this country, on which occasion they celebrated the new year, the anniversary of the Triumph of the Cuban Revolution and in particular the 60th anniversary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cuba.  Ambassador Alejandro Simancas expressed his deep gratitude to all members of the Association for their intense work during this year in support of Cuba and their fundamental contribution to the strengthening of friendship and solidarity between the peoples of both countries. He also recalled the commemoration of the sixtieth anniversary of Cuba’s Revolutionary Diplomacy, which was celebrated in tribute in Havana with the presence of the President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel. Representing the friends of Saint Lucia, Marlene Alexander, recounted the hard work accomplished during the year and highlighted the commitment to continue working together in strengthening the Association and in its purpose to be the best exponents of the value of the friendship that unites us.
