Cuba exposes achievements of Cuban women in the Pan-African Parliament
On the occasion of International Women's Day this March 8, the Embassy of Cuba in South Africa organized an exhibition at the headquarters of the Pan-African Parliament, in the city of Midrand, which showed achievements of Cuban women in various fields.
The Cuban stand was visited and enjoyed by hundreds of visitors from all over the world. It included a sample of manual art in fabric, made by the women of the embassy, as well as an exhibition of cigars, traditional guayaberas, music of the Island and tasting of the unique Cuban mojito.

On the occasion of the celebration of the Armed Forces Day in South Africa on 21 February, the Ambassador of Cuba, Rodolfo Benítez Verson, participated as a guest in the military parade organized for the occasion, in the city of Kimberley, capital of the province of Northern Cape.
The President of the Republic and Commander in Chief of the South African Armed Forces, S.E. Cyril Ramaphosa, in his speech for the celebration highlighted the importance of bilateral cooperation between Cuba and South Africa in the field of defense.
X Cuban Criminalistics Technology Symposium and III Biometric Identification Conference
The Cuban Criminalistics Technology Symposium is held every three years; we are announcing this tenth edition in the context of completing the process of updating and validating the methodological apparatus of Cuban criminalistics. To this end and with a view to raising the professional level of our forces and disseminating our modest results, TECNICRIM 2018 will take place on 18 - 20 September 2018.
