Cuba and Saint Kitts and Nevis are about to celebrate another year of diplomatic relations.

When there are only a few days left until the 27th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Cuba and the Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis, the Cuban Ambassador David Rivero Pérez and the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Aviation of this Federation, Kaye Bass, held a working meeting.

I have to report that Washington has decided to exclude the Republic of Cuba from the preparations for the 9th Summit of the Americas to be held in Los Angeles on 8th to 10th June and is presently exerting extreme pressures on numerous governments in the region which, privately and respectfully, oppose our exclusion. The US government is deceiving public opinion and the governments of the hemisphere, saying it has not yet decided on the invitations. I respectfully ask Secretary of State Blinken to say honestly whether Cuba will or will not be invited to the 9th Summit of the Americas.

Cuban Ambassador participated in a tribute dedicated to the Honorable Vance Amory.

This Tuesday night the fortnightly television program hosted by the Prime Minister of Saint Kitts and Nevis Timothy Harris, Leadership Matters, was dedicated to highlighting the life´s work of the recently late Honorable Vance Amory. The Ambassador of Cuba, David Rivero Pérez participated as a guest in this tribute.

Doctor graduated in Cuba returns to continue postgraduate studies.

Kentisha Daley is a young doctor from the Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis who graduated from medicine in Cuba. She returns to Cuba to carry out postgraduate studies, as part of the cooperation agreements between the Antillean island and CARICOM countries.

Chambers of Commerce of Cuba and the Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis explore business opportunities in the agricultural sector

On Wednesday morning, a virtual meeting took place between the Chambers of Commerce of the Republic of Cuba, represented by its Vice President, Rubén Ramos Arrieta, and the Chamber of Industry and Commerce of the Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis, represented by its Executive Director, Kevin Hope. The purpose of the meeting was to explore business opportunities in the agricultural sector.
