Cuba Categorically Rejects Claims of Participation in the Conflict in Ukraine

Statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs 

The Government of the Republic of Cuba rejects the mendacious allegations being spread by the United States Government concerning an alleged involvement of Cuba in the military conflict in Ukraine. This is a slanderous accusation first launched in 2023 by certain media outlets without offering any evidence or substantiation of any kind, and clearly serving an assigned purpose. 

Military action against Venezuela must be stopped

Cuba has been warning about the growing escalation by the United States government against the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, which clearly seeks to overthrow the constitutional government of President Nicolás Maduro Moros and establish a servile government willing to surrender Venezuela’s oil, key natural resources, and national sovereignty to the United States.

Documentary screening in tribute to Fidel Castro in Trinidad and Tobago

Cuba took part in the “Latin Nights” program at the National Library and Information System Authority (NALIS) with a photographic exhibition and the screening of the documentary “El Mérito es estar vivo” (“The Merit Is to Be Alive”), produced by Mundo Latino in 2006.

The Ambassador of Cuba, Gustavo Veliz Olivares, together with the Honorable Eli Zakour, Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation, and the Parliamentary Secretary in the Office of the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs, Mr. Nicholas Morris, laid a floral offering at Piarco Airport, Trinidad and Tobago.

Centenary of Fidel Castro’s Birth in Trinidad and Tobago

As part of the 5th Edition of the “Latin Nights” in Port of Spain, organized by the National Library of Trinidad and Tobago (NALIS), a photo exhibition dedicated to the centenary of the Commander in Chief was opened to the public. The program of activities also includes the screening of the documentary “The Merit is to Be Alive”, produced by Mundo Latino in 2006, scheduled for next Monday, October 6.
