Cuban diplomats visit the city of Whanganui.

Whanganui, November 19. During a visit to this city, Ambassador Edgardo Valdés had a friendly meeting with Mayor H.W Hamish Mc Douall, with whom he exchanged on the situation in Cuba, the relationship with New Zealand and other topics of interest.

McDouall praised the Cuban film "Inocencia", shown here recently in the framework of the Latin America and Spain Film Festival.

Several ideas for cultural cooperation and the promotion of tourism to Cuba emerged from the meeting.

President Díaz-Canel visited Mexico and participated in the CELAC Summit.

Mexico City, September 17. The Cuban President participated as a special guest in the celebrations for the independence of Mexico and held a friendly meeting with his counterpart Andrés Manuel López Obrador, whom he thanked for the traditional solidarity of Mexico and his repeated condemnation of the US blockade against Cuba.

Díaz-Canel also participated in the Summit of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC), which also spoke out against Washington's aggressive policy against the island.

 

Cuban diplomats visit Palmerston North.

Palmerston North, August 13. The Cuban Ambassador fulfilled an extensive program during a brief visit to this city, in which Consul Dalila Vázquez carried out different coordination efforts for the next opening of the Latin American and Spanish Film Festival (LASFF) there.

The Ambassador was received by the rector of Massey University and met other officials, as well as professors of the Spanish language program.

He also toured various farms and agricultural research laboratories to learn of New Zealand's successful experiences.

Cuban Ambassador visits the cities of Dunedin and Queenstown.

Queenstown, June 11. Ambassador Edgardo Valdés visited the cities of Dunedin and Queenstown between June 8 and 11, where he met with the respective mayors, Aaron Hawkins and Jim Boult.

In an interesting program organized by the local Foreign Ministry, the Ambassador learned about New Zealand's positive experiences in sustainable agricultural production, nature tourism and support for innovative companies, among other topics.
