The "Yes I Can" Cuban method applied in aboriginal communities of Australia is extended to urban areas

Canberra, February 18, 2019.- On February 15th, the first literacy program for aboriginal communities in urban areas of the State of New South Wales, Australia, was officially inaugurated, with the implementation of the Cuban method of literacy "Yes I Can" which has been applied in about thirty countries and that was awarded the Unesco Literacy Prize in 2006.

Canberra, 18th of December 2017. The Cuban method of literacy for adults, "Yes I Can", continues to be applied successfully in the aboriginal communities of New South Wales, under the leadership of the Literacy for Life Foundation, its president Jack Beetsony and the advice of the Cuban specialists, Lucy Núñez and Félix Hernández.
