Prominent Cuban diplomat Abelardo Moreno Fernández passes away
Prominent Cuban diplomat Abelardo Moreno Fernández passed away in this capital in the early hours of Saturday morning at the age of 80.
Abelardo began his work at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in July 1961 as a specialist. He had an outstanding and distinguished career in Revolutionary Diplomacy, holding various positions in domestic and foreign affairs until being appointed Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs in 2000, a position he held until January 2019.
