Successive US administrations have consistently sought to use the date of May 20th to announce new measures reinforcing the criminal economic blockade against Cuba and other actions in their aggressive policy against the Cuban people and their Revolution. As a supposed gesture and attempt to maintain the political and financial support of the main representatives of the anti-Cuban mafia, the city of Miami, also a haven for notorious terrorists, has usually been chosen for these “announcements.”

El material fílmico recoge una mirada en los ojos de jóvenes norteamericanos, la denuncia al inhumano impacto del bloqueo económico, comercial, financiero y energético del Gobierno de los EEUU contar el pueblo de Cuba.

For the first time the US government publicly formalizes, through a communiqué from the Department of State, an offer of aid to Cuba valued at 100 million dollars.
It remains unclear whether the aid will be in cash or material, and whether it will be directed toward the people’s most urgent needs at this time, such as fuel, food, and medicine.

On May 1st, millions of Cubans across the island marched together to denounce, with one voice, the genocidal economic, financial, commercial, and energy blockade imposed by the U.S. government. Washington's response to this demonstration in defense of sovereignty was swift. That same day, accompanied by Secretary of State Marco Rubio, the current occupant of the White House signed a new executive order with further measures aimed at further strangling the Cuban economy and people.
