Bruselas, 23 de agosto.- En una emotiva jornada de reafirmación patriótica, coincidente con un nuevo aniversario de la fundación de la Federación de Mujeres Cubanas por Fidel Castro, integrantes del movimiento de solidaridad, junto a sectores juveniles, eurodiputados, cubanos residentes y líderes sociales, encabezaron hoy una bicicletada por las calles de Bruselas para rendir tributo al centenario del Comandante en Jefe.
El recorrido culminó con un emotivo acto en la céntrica Plaza Poelaert, frente al emblemático Palacio de Justicia, donde se alzaron con firmeza las voces de condena contra la agtesiva política exterior estadounidense. Los portavoces de Cubanismo, Los Amigos de Cuba, colectivos de latinoamericanos, el eurodiputado Marc Botenga y el embajador cubano Juan Antonio Fernández Palacios rechazaron enérgicamente el carácter genocida y criminal del bloqueo económico, comercial y financiero impuesto contra la Isla, denunciando de forma categórica el recrudecimiento del cerco energético que busca asfixiar la economía y atenta directamente contra el bienestar y la calidad de vida del pueblo cubano.
Durante las intervenciones, los asistentes resaltaron el impacto transformador y revolucionario del pensamiento político y humanista de Fidel Castro, cuya vigencia trasciende fronteras. Se reafirmó que el ejemplo del líder histórico de la Revolución Cubana sigue siendo un faro moral inextinguible para la resistencia de la Patria, así como una trinchera de dignidad e inspiración para los países del Tercer Mundo y todas aquellas causas justas que luchan en el planeta por la justicia social y la verdadera soberanía de los pueblos.

Bike Ride to Celebrate Fidel's Centennial, in Support of Cuba, and Against the Embargo in the Capital of Europe
Brussels, August 23.- On an emotional day of patriotic reaffirmation, coinciding with another anniversary of the founding of the Women's Federation of Cuba by Fidel Castro, members of the solidarity movement, along with youth groups, Members of the European Parliament, Cuban residents, and social leaders, led a bike ride today through the streets of Brussels to pay tribute to the Commander-in-Chief’s 100th birthday.
The ride culminated in a moving ceremony in the central Poelaert Square, in front of the iconic Palace of Justice, where voices of condemnation against the aggressive U.S. foreign policy were raised firmly. Spokespersons for Cubanismo, Los Amigos de Cuba, Latin American collectives, MEP Marc Botenga, and Cuban Ambassador Juan Antonio Fernández Palacios vigorously rejected the genocidal and criminal nature of the economic, commercial, and financial blockade imposed on the island, categorically denouncing the intensification of the energy blockade that seeks to suffocate the economy and directly threatens the well-being and quality of life of the Cuban people.
During the speeches, attendees highlighted the transformative and revolutionary impact of Fidel Castro’s political and humanist thought, whose relevance transcends borders. It was reaffirmed that the example set by the historic leader of the Cuban Revolution remains an unquenchable moral beacon for the resistance of the homeland, as well as a bastion of dignity and inspiration for the countries of the Third World and all those just causes fighting across the globe for social justice and the true sovereignty of the peoples.
